Michael and Candida have been using sound as a healing art for the past 13 years and have created this exciting workshop open to anyone who wishes to bring consciousness to their world of sound and vibration.

Tibetan singing bowls ring with an ancient power that is a mystery to most of us. They have their roots in the animistic shamanic religions of the Nepalese-Tibetan border area of the Himalayas where master craftspeople fashioned the bowls from seven or five precious metals.

The workshop will be an experiential journey through the sounds of the bowls, their history and use in meditation, relaxation and deep listening practices. You will learn the various techniques that make the bowls ring and sing. The atmosphere will be relaxed and friendly and you will be able to receive and take part in Tibetan Singing Bowl sound massage.

This is a marvellous opportunity to learn from experts. The workshop is open to anyone, experience is not necessary. If you have your own bowls, bring them along.

Michael Ormiston and Candida Valentino have been playing and studying the bowls for many years and have given concerts and recorded with Tibetologist Alain Presencer, Gongmaster Don Conreaux and Frank Perry. They recently played for His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the prime minister of Tibet in Exile, as well as for the Tibet Foundation and the Tibet House Trust.
Michael has been leading meditations using Tibetan Singing Bowls ever since the Venerable Khamba Lam Choijampts, the head Abbot of Gandan monastery in Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia, heard Michael play and told him that the bowls were to be used for meditation. www.soundtransformations.btinternet.co.uk
