Kabbalah is the only complete western mystical yradition and it is a very great one indeed, which can reveal profound insights to the student.

The word Kabbalah is Hebrew for 'receive' and it is the sacred knowledge that underpins Judaism, Christianity and Islam - without the centuries of misunderstanding and projection that have affected all three major religions. It requires only a belief in a Higher Power.

Kabbalah is 'news' nowadays, with celebrity followers such as Madonna and Britney. Their version is sometimes known as 'Kabbalah Lite' - the traditional Kabbalah of orthodox Judaism is extremely complicated and restricted to men of Jewish origin.

This one-day workshop takes a middle path between the two and is based on the Kabbalistic knowledge of 30AD - the time of Jesus.

Maggy will introduce you to the basic structure behind Kabbalah and use discussion and meditation together with simple, fun exercises to show how the basic Kabbalistic structures - The Tree of Life and Jacob's Ladder - can be used for self-realisation, growth and happiness.

Maggy Whitehouse has studied The Toledo Tradition of Kabbalah for 14 years and is the author of The Little Book of Prosperity, two Kabbalistic novels and Living Kabbalah. She is Editor of the Midlands holistic magazine The Tree of Life, a qualified teacher of healing in two disciplines and she presents a weekly book programme on Saga Radio in Birmingham.
