How Your Body Reflects Your Consciousness

Each of the chakras is linked to an aspect of your consciousness and has links to specific parts of our bodies. Through the chakras we can read the body, and the body is like a map of the consciousness within. Your natural state is balance and health. Symptoms in a specific part of the body are often due to tensions in a particular part of the consciousness, caused by something happening in your life at the time the symptoms began. When you understand the inner cause of the symptom, you can heal the symptom, and also release the cause—the tension that created it in the first place.
Martin Brofman, PhD, developed the Body Mirror System of Healing as the result of his research into the body-mind connection, and from what he learned by healing himself of terminal cancer in 1975.
