The Cities of Mars

Personnel from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) have, however, discovered a rock on Mars shaped like a human face, of symmetrical geometry and classical proportions. An electrical engineer working at the Goddard Space Flight Centre in Maryland, USA, rediscovered the original picture with the caption "Head", languishing in the NASA archives.Computer enhancement revealed what appeared to be teeth in the mouth area of this unusual mesa, as well as an eyeball in the eye socket of the 11/2 mile wide feature.

They also discovered a gigantic pyramid a few miles from the face, which has sparked off an intense debate on the possibility of extraterrestrial intervention on the surface of Mars many aeons ago.There have also been claims that, in the vicinity of the face and pyramid in Cydonia, are other unnatural-looking shapes, placed in a pattern that suggests an intelligent layout. Researchers have concluded that there is a mathematical message encoded in the design of the five-sided pyramid and apparent artefacts, known as ÔThe City'.

A technical instructor in a major computer company in England recently discovered another facial feature in the same region, of similar size and orientation. In an independent study of the 1976 Viking images, he enhanced the images by computer. The second face is approximately twice the distance of the first face from the centre of the pyramid. Interestingly, an earlier spacecraft, Mariner 9, photographed tetrahedral pyramid shapes in another region of Mars known as Elysium!

On June 8th 1989, ITN's Channel 4 TV reported that Soviet scientists were baffled by a series of photographs taken by the ÔPhobos' probe to Mars. The infrared pictures, shown on TV, revealed an inexplicable pattern of symmetrical lines. A scientist from the Science Museum in London stated that "You could mistake it for an aerial view of Los Angeles!" As infrared pictures, they depicted heat and could even have been seen through cloud cover. He estimated the lines to be about three or four kilometres wide! These are the most detailed infrared pictures of the surface of our neighbouring planet.

He stated that he did not know what it was, "and the Russians aren't telling us. "An ellipsoidal shadow on the surface of Mars was also pictured by both optical and heat-seeking cameras. This huge, cigar-shaped shadow was clearly visible in the photographs, with features showing up below it. The fact that the probe stopped transmitting shortly after the picture was taken has given rise to a great deal of speculation.

Interestingly, in l958, eighteen years before the Viking pictures, Dr .King published a series of Transmissions in the book Life on the Planets. One of the Transmissions by Mars Sector Six stated: "Your pyramids upon Terra have what we term a shape power. All the buildings, either on or beneath the surface of the Planet Mars, have shape power..."
