Alchemy, traditionally, is the transmutation of ordinary metals into gold. In a spiritual sense it is taking something bad, or basic, and turning it into something better - a principle which can be applied to every situation.

Dr George King (1919-1997), an extraordinarily original spiritual teacher, took this concept onto its highest level. You don't have to be a genius to see that we could all make the world a better place - but you do have to be a genius to work out how to do it! And that is exactly what he was.
