Karma Yoga is a magical, exciting and exhilarating way of life, where, ultimately, your every action, no matter how apparently mundane, is a step closer to enlightenment. More importantly, it is a way of helping and inspiring all those around you—and making a difference to the world as a whole —leading to a deep sense of spiritual fulfilment. “Karma” literally means action, and “yoga” means union, implying union with the Divine Source, so “Karma Yoga” means union with the Divine through action—or, more precisely, through active service to others.Mark will illustrate the variety, challenge, and passion of this path with lively examples of famous pioneers throughout history, such as The Lord Buddha, Michelangelo, Plato, St Teresa of Ávila and Isaac Newton—whose great love inspired them to change the course of history.
Mark Bennett, co-author with Richard Lawrence of Gods, Guides and Guardian Angels, works full-time for The Aetherius Society where he practises Karma Yoga every day.
