living kabbalah

maggy whitehouse

a great tradition with great lessons for the modern world wednesday 29 march 7pm Kabbalah has undergone a renaissance over recent years. Nowadays it is best known as the spiritual direction for Madonna, Britney and other stars. There is, though, a far deeper tradition to explore than the Kabbalah of the Famous with its beauty products and holy water. Its origins are ancient indeed. Kabbalah is the only complete western mystical tradition, giving a road map to our own individual spirituality and explaining the relationship between God, the Universe and humanity. Although it is traditionally Jewish, a student of Kabbalah can be of any faith; all that is needed is a belief in a higher power. This line of teaching has come down to us from Abraham's teacher Melchizedek, through Moses, Queen Esther and Jesus of Nazareth - and it is an oral tradition, best taught face-to-face through question and answer. Maggy will outline the origins, use and principles of Kabbalah and show you how it can be used to understand your own life. Maggy Whitehouse has studied The Toledo Tradition of Kabbalah for 14 years and is the author of The Little Book of Prosperity, two Kabbalistic novels and Living Kabbalah. She is Editor of the Midlands holistic magazine The Tree of Life, a qualified teacher of healing in two disciplines and presents a weekly book programme on Saga Radio in Birmingham. Maggy set up and produced the BBC's holistic health website, 360, and was host moderator on the BBC's Religion and Ethics message boards during the Iraq War. She leads workshops on spirituality and prosperity consciousness worldwide. Her workshop is on 30 April. http://www.treeofsapphires.com
