In 1976, the Viking Orbiters to the planet Mars photographed the "Face on Mars" in the northern region of the planet known as Cydonia. Although the Face on Mars has become a subject of controversy and sometimes ridicule, in the same area were observed a number of mounds, each somewhat larger than the great pyramid at Giza in Egypt. These mounds are reminiscent of Silbury Hill, the largest man-made mound in Europe.

What is intriguing about these mounds is the fact that they have been laid out in a precise geometrical pattern. An analysis of the ground pattern by two American professors suggests an intelligent layout. Has NASA stumbled upon the first mathematically proven evidence of extraterrestrial intervention upon the surface of another planet in our Solar system?

This evening will include a slide presentation by researcher Ananda Sirisena on the mound configuration in Cydonia.
