life auditing

caroline righton

dare to be honest about yourself wednesday 2 november 7pm There comes a time in all of our lives when we need to assess the life we are living, what we have achieved, where we want to get and the skills and assets that can help us get there. It is easy to talk about, but, in reality, it is probably one of the most difficult things we do. Certainly, it is one of the most important. It is difficult, because we have to be really honest with ourselves, without being overly pessimistic or optimistic. So, anything that can clarify this essential process and provide a structure and logical progression is to be welcomed. Caroline Righton's best selling book The Life Audit challenges its reader to put every aspect of their life under the microscope and confront the reality of their dreams and disappointments. The three-stage plan of her Life Audit helps you-the auditor-to match your hopes and ambitions to your individual skill set, and to do this both practically and emotionally. In this way, it will help you to really make the most of the person you are and the life you have. Tonight, Caroline will explain the process of life auditing and talk about real-life experiences of people who changed their lives through carrying out their own Life Audit. Caroline Righton has had a varied career as a journalist and Daily Mail columnist, TV presenter, newsreader, reporter and producer and, latterly, Controller of Features and Head of Programme Development at Carlton's Plymouth studios. In 2003, as a result of conducting her own 'life audit', Caroline left Carlton to set up an independent consultancy and explore other personal ambitions. Her book The Life Audit, published earlier this year, was one result. www.thelifeaudit.com
